Howard S. “Red” Armstrong, 80, of Fortville, passed away July 3, 2015. He was born February 17, 1935 in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Rachel Armstrong. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Fisher) Armstrong; brother Raymond Armstrong; sons Wayne (Jacque) Armstrong and Guy (Cheri) Armstrong; daughter Karen (John) Alexander; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He retired from Aero Mayflower Transit Co. after 38 years. He was a blacksmith and enjoyed nature and all of the outdoors.

Visitation will be Wednesday 11 am to 1 pm at Castleview Baptist Church, 8601 Hague Road, where he was a 45-year member. Funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Interment will be at Gravel Lawn in Fortville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Missions Program at Castleview Baptist Church or the Wheeler Mission.
